Main Sponsor announced… As we approach the third LMW, we would like to announce that Station Motors of Llandeilo, have agreed to be our 2018 ‘Main Sponsor’. Both Martin and Gareth saw the efforts the committee were making and called to offer their support as ‘Main Show Sponsors’. As a local bike MOT centre and keen bikers themselves, they saw the benefit in supporting LMW and it’s charities, in addition to the opportunity to increase their business profile to the biking community. May we take this opportunity to thank Station Motors Bike MOT Centre for their kind and valuable support.
Llandovery CO-OP make a ‘BIG’ splash… With the beautiful heat looking to continue into our weekend event, we are pleased to announce that our local Co-op store, has offered to provide the Show with 100 bottles of water for our hard working volunteers. This is a great gesture from one of our largest local traders and we thank them for their kind donation and foresight. At least our team of volunteers will be well hydrated - thanks to the CO-OP ! : )

Well, I was really pleased with all the entries and the effort and creative skills of all our entries. It was difficult to select the winner as they were all so really well drawn and painted. So here are the winners and runner-up entries who we will arrange to meet to deliver your prizes. Well done eveyone and congratulations to the winners! Veterans return from 2000 mile in 48 hr charity ride… The arrival of the The Household Division Motorcycle Club  veterans was a welcome sight and the team who completed a 2000 mile journey, starting in Llandovery on Armed Forces Day on Saturday 30 June 2018, then travelling to John O’Groats and then on to Lands End before returning to Llandovery was an amazing achievement and commitment. At the last check, they had raised £645 which was raised to support the Llandovery Motorbike Weekend. You can still contribute to their fund by clicking the following link. Thank you lads, you did us proud!
NISA music rocks our Ace Cafe stage… The NISA ‘Ace Cafe’ music stage was a big hit with visitors and exhibitors. First artist was William from ‘The Excuses’ who stepped in for his band at the last minute and the young man did his mates and us proud. His mix of covers and some he had written provided a nice blend of music which set the tone for the day. Next we had Rookery Lane  who also delivered a selection of covers and quality written and arranged numbers from their album ‘Scrapbook’ (currently on sale - click here). For a band undertaking their debut gig, they ‘really’ did well. Their rich and textured sound was well received and I’m sure now they have their first gig under their belt, they will be playing locally very soon.
Following Rookery Lane was local band ‘The Sliders’ who delivered a full cover set and the lads looked as if they were having fun. Again a quality sound and a range of modern and classic covers from the ‘Stones to The Killers’. The lads I‘m sure will get plenty of work, keep an eye out for them locally they are not to be missed - thanks lads!
Blood Bikes Wales benefit from Nisa donation… Blood Bikes Wales were presented with a cheque for £500 from Nisa Local, a donation I am sure they will put to good use. Thank You very much all at Nisa Llandovery for your great support!
Nisa Ace Cafe Stage Jack Sunday… Our Sunday began with the talents of Dan Stockton, a solo artist from Swansea. Dan’s set was littered with some great classics and his performance was very professional in delivery and a rich quality sound. Dan has a great future in the business and at just 17 stunned those who caught his lunchtime spot. Dan is off next to the London Buskers Competition and on behalf of everyone at the event we wish him the best of luck. I am sure if both Dan and Will continue their musical journey, we are sure to hear these young talented lads again in the future, perhaps next on a much bigger stage! and the jacks continue… Yes, I guess you can call it ‘Jack Sunday’ as another import from Swansea arrive and belt out a range of classic numbers from the 60’s and 70’s. Mockingbird a five piece rock band flew through their set in the baking heat but were cool with their harmony filled classic rock covers. Normally playing holiday parks and clubland, this was their first festival and they really enjoyed their experience.
May we take this opportunity to thank all our artists and bands who gave their time free of charge to support this event.
